Our Journey – Dastkar India
Our journey began with a simple but powerful idea — to do something meaningful for the artisans of India. Across the length and breadth of this country, skilled hands have kept alive traditions passed down through generations. Yet, these artisans often lived in the shadows, struggling for recognition, dignity, and sustainable livelihoods.

We, at Dastkar India, envisioned a world where their work is not only appreciated but celebrated. A world where handmade products are seen not as relics of the past, but as the future of conscious living. This vision became the seed from which Dastkar India grew.

We started small, connecting with rural craftspeople and learning their stories. We saw their challenges up close — lack of market access, unfair pricing, and dwindling demand in a world leaning toward mass production. But we also saw their passion, their talent, and their deep connection to nature.

That’s when we knew we had to do more.
